We are getting our hair done in prep for 'Crazy Hair Day' as part of Sue Ryder's Febr-hairy campaign though for some staff member there may be not that much to do!  We shall be collecting for the fine folk at Sue Ryder in our Chelthenham Road, Clifton, Salisbury, Honiton & Exeter cafes.

The Sue Ryder charity works to make life dignified for people living with cancer, brain injury & life changing illnesses.  They work in residential & day centres, in the community & in the home.  To find out more about their most excellent work please check out Sue Ryder.

BTP & Coffee Kids

The story so far...

In 2011 we undertook a long-term commitment to support the excellent Coffee Kids charity.  In our first year as partners & with the support of our lovely customers we were able to donate over £1000 through the sale of our BTP KeepCups & our guest coffee.

A few facts…
Coffee is the largest agricultural commodity in international trade.  Annually this industry is worth £50 billion.   Coffee laborers often earn 4p a pound of coffee picked by hand.   Globally 25 million families are dependent on coffee as their sole source of income with many facing malnutrition, poor sanitation & little access to health care.

About Coffee Kids…
Coffee Kids’ mission is to build a sustainable future for coffee farmers & their families through projects in economic diversity, microcredit, health awareness, education & food security with the support of local community groups.  This work allows coffee farmers to reduce their dependency on the volatile coffee market & confront their communities most pressing needs.

BTP Ringwood Now Open!
Take Over Day at Exeter

Those hardworking souls at Exeter BTP were given the day off to do something lovely & left the running of their cafe to the BTP Ops Team.  Not sure things were up to the usual standard but they left the building standing & some customers even got what they ordered.  They made the rather wise decision to keep Sam, the MD, away from the tills & the coffee machine & put him on washing up all day - damage limitation!  Also should we worry about what Anita's gloves are for!?  Anyway well done Exeter - hope you had a fab day out.

Jobs at BTP

We are currently recruiting in a number of our cafes.  Check out our jobs page or send your CV to jobs@bostonteaparty.co.uk stating which cafe & what job.
