We love our menu, but admittedly our lunch options have been a bit ‘burger or salad’ for a while, and with summer on the way, we’ve decided it’s time for a change!
Speaking to our customers, along with taking inspiration from what I think the latest trends are, we’ve come up with several new dishes which we hope you love as much as we do.
Along the way there were several rounds of testing with my fellow team (i.e. Ben, Marketing Guy), customers, and ultimately BTP’s very own Monica Galetti and Greg Wallace (Shelley, our FD and Sam our MD!) before going on trial at BTP Harborne.
To kick things off, we have a mezze (main picture – can be for one or two), perfect on a sunny day with a glass (or bottle) of wine!
Our slow roast lamb or halloumi pittas take inspiration from the traditional middle eastern kebabs and cast aside its questionable late night snack reputation.
The sesame, soy and chilli marinated chicken served with brown rice is one of Sam’s favourites and evolved from a dish he regularly makes at home for the family.
Baked chicken enchilada gives the menu a bit of a kick with plenty of chilli and spice but is cooled by the avocado and tomato salsa.
There are two new salads, firstly, the roasted cauliflower and spiced cous-cous, packed with chick peas, sultanas, almonds, sumac dressing and sweetened by pomegranate seeds. Last but not least is the gloriously colourful roasted red and marinated golden beetroot salad topped with creamy goats cheese and candied pecans we cannot get enough of.
I hope you agree this is a much more balanced menu, I for one am super excited about it and it is all available in our cafes from today, so pop in to try the new items and let us know what you think!
In the meantime, take a look at the full menu.
