Better Flavour: Medium, dark roast and decaf de-bunked

Whether medium, dark roast or decaf, you can always expect delicious flavours to shine though in your cup. Using our own blend of 60% Peruvian and 40% Colombian beans, roasted by the clever chaps at Extract Coffee Roasters, gives your coffee a flavour that stands out from the crowd.
We like to think you can use us as a stepping stone between the mass-produced stuff you’ll find at the big chains, and the sometimes baffling world of speciality coffee. We’ll never be snobby about how you like your coffee (it is yours after all!), and our baristas are always happy to share their knowledge, but here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect in terms of flavour from us:

Dark Roast
Roasted for 12 mins
Take it black for notes of big cocoa and warm spice
Add Yeo Valley organic milk for dark chocolate and buttery shortbread
We like it best in a latte – the silky milk texture makes it taste really indulgent. Dark roast also goes well in our mocha, it really works with the dark chocolate.

Medium Roast
Roasted for 11 mins
Take it black for notes of baked plum and toffee apple
Add Yeo Valley organic milk for caramel and milk chocolate hazelnut
We like it best as a black Americano, or in a cappuccino – the aerated milk texture transforms the coffee into a delicious sweet treat!

Decaf
Slightly different process, but no nasty chemicals here, our decaf is made the natural way. We grind your decaf beans to order, just like with a regular coffee, so you still plenty of body (unlike most decafs which come pre-ground and lose their flavour) by the time they’re in your cup!

Guest Filter Blends
Boston regulars will already know that we also offer a guest filter coffee, which changes seasonally. Over the winter months, we’ll typically line up some citrus, spicy blends, and when the summer days are long, you might sample some lighter, fruity numbers. When you’re next in, feel free to ask for a taster… Check out our seasonal filter coffees here >
