We have launched scrumptious new cakes to our range, and as always, they are baked by us in the cafes by our talented bakers. They spend their days squirreling away in our kitchens, baking delectable afternoon treats for you to enjoy.
Here’s a lowdown on the new additions to the range:
Friands – Gluten Free
We have two flavours; Blueberry & Lime / Rose & Raspberry, both as tempting as each other. They may be small, but are full of flavour and are gluten-free to boot.
Named so after the song this pina colada cake is a bit of a showstopper. Pineapple jam is sandwiched between two layers of soft sponge, topped with a lime and coconut mascarpone icing. It really is a slice of afternoon delight.
Ginger Slice – vegan
This tasty vegan flapjack is full of ginger flavour. An almond and ginger slice base, topped with a caramelised ginger icing.
A personal favourite, this is even better when paired with a filter coffee or flat white as a breakfast treat (as well as the afternoon). The sweet and sticky syrup drizzled on top really adds to the flavour.
Raspberry Marshmallow Bar – Gluten Free
Certainly the most colourful of the new cakes, the raspberry marshmallow bar is a yummy treat for all – not just the kids!
Power Ball – Gluten Free, Vegan
For those looking for a healthier afternoon boost, the Power Balls are simply toasted hazelnuts and dates rolled into a ball and dusted with coconut. Nothing else, just a natural snack for when the urge hits.
Whilst not necessarily a new recipe, our ever popular Lemon Drizzle has been upgraded to a bundt style. Same great taste, but a sleeker look to it.
Swish roll – Gluten Free
A gluten-free chocolate treat. Chocolate sponge rolled with a filling of kirsch cherry jam and chocolate ganache before being topped with more chocolate and a touch of gold dust!
Lemon Polenta Cake – Gluten Free
A gluten-free alternative to our popular Lemon Drizzle, this is packed with zesty loveliness. Soaked in lemon, with poppy seeds throughout and topped with a lemon icing drizzle too.
