Our biggest challenge to date - opening in one of Salisbury’s most historic buildings, the Old George Inn which dates back to 1314. It would be hard to overstate the historical significance & pedigree of this Grade 1 listed building. William Shakespeare is believed to have performed one of his plays in its courtyard, Oliver Cromwell slept here on his way to join the army, Samuel Pepys wrote about the Inn in his diary after a stay & both H G Wells & Charles Dickens made mention of it in their writings.

A word from our new artist.
“The beautiful world in and around Salisbury and the people who live and work here are my inspiration. Watercolour lends itself to the buildings and the landscapes. Portraits of people, which are inspired by their situation either working or enjoying some time out, are subjects which I work in oil, on the whole, though I am constantly exploring new ideas. Pencil, oils and watercolours are my preferred media. Although I have had no formal training I did have the good fortune to meet a teacher many years ago and he stays with me”
