Shaun is coming to BTP!

Finally, we can begin to tell people! It’s been a tough secret to keep, but at last we can shout from the rooftops that we will have a coveted Shaun the Sheep as part of the Shaun in the City trail this summer!

Our Gloucester Road cafe is the lucky hosts of a Shaun and he will be taking pride of place in the outside seating area from Monday 6th July when the trail starts.

The flock of 70 giant Shaun sculptures, created by artists, designers and celebrities, will be in green spaces and iconic locations across Bristol for the public to enjoy until 31st August, which gives you plenty of time to explore and tick off them off. We cannot yet tell you the exact details of our Shaun design, but watch this space!

The sculptures will then go to auction in October to raise money for The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

Another Shaun in the City trail featuring 50 different sculptures took place in London earlier this year. Shaun in the City follows the huge success of Gromit Unleashed in 2013 which raised over £2.3million at auction for The Grand Appeal

We’ll be having plenty of Shaun-related goings on in the Gloucester Road cafe throughout the summer, so whether you pop by for a quick selfie with Shaun or stay for lunch, we can’t wait for it to start!
